When it comes to designing a high-converting landing page, complexity is a conversion-killer.
The more elements you add—unnecessary text, vague promises, or distracting visuals—the harder it is for your customer to focus, consume the right information, and know how to take action.
This is where this simple, yet powerful checklist comes in...
Why This Checklist Works
It’s Intentional: Every section has a purpose—no fluff, no filler.
It’s Simple: This framework isn't the most heavy or advanced one I use – but for most brands, using this framework will get them a big quick win, without spending a lot of time or resources.
It’s Customer-Centric: Built around what your audience needs to see to say “yes.”
It’s Proven: This framework has been tested and refined across dozens of brands, from a broad range of ecom niches.
You may find it more helpful to print this email so you can physically check-off each of the steps below.
The High-Converting Checklist
Your landing page has one job: turn visitors into buyers.
To make that happen, you need to check-off the following six critical sections, which each have a specific purpose...
^ Example of Hero section
[] — Hero Section
Use a bold headline, social proof, and 3 clear benefits. Add a call-to-action (CTA) that’s impossible to miss.
Use a headline that speaks directly to the customer’s desire. And then back it up with a sub-headline that explains exactly how your product will help the customer reach that desire. (Ideally it should answer: Why this? Why now? Why not the alternatives?)
^ Example of Benefits section
[] — Benefits Section
Highlight features tied directly to benefits. (Example: “Cold-Pressed Juice → Retain More Nutrients.”)
Break it down visually—people scan, not read.
Focus on how each feature/benefit solves the customer’s problem and will get them the desired outcome.
^ Example of How It Works section
[] — How It Works Section
Explain how your product works in 3–4 steps.
Focus on how it solves the customer’s problem. Answer: Why this? Why now? Why not the alternatives?
^ Example of Social Proof (influencer shoutout) section
[] — Social Proof Section
Showcase testimonials, reviews, influencer shoutouts, or UGC (user-generated content).
Add photos or videos for extra impact.
^ Example of Order Form section
[] — Order Form Section
Highlight guarantees, reinforce benefits, and use a clear, compelling CTA.
Make it as frictionless as possible—no unnecessary form fields.
^ Example of Strategic FAQs section
[] — Strategic FAQs Section
This is a very important section – don't skip this.
Address top objections that may be perceived as deal-breakers.
Only answer questions your customers actually care about.
Look at existing customer reviews, or survey them to collect useful data.
High-ROI Action Step:
Audit your current landing page.
Does it have the six critical sections on this checklist??
If not, add the missing section(s) in.
See if there's any "less effective" sections you can remove, to reduce clutter.

CRO Tip Of The Week:
Don't underestimate the power of storytelling.
As kids, we learned the do's and don'ts about life through stories
And it has been one of the most efficient ways we've learned for centuries.
Apply this to your own brand to convey your message more effectively.
If you have a more premium brand, try to weave in more storytelling through your copywriting and your images that captures the desired character or lifestyle your customer base aspires to achieve.
Elevate your branding and your sales with a beautifully-crafted, mobile-optimized landing page that’s built to convert.
